I co-wrote and researched tweets for "Hungry", North by Northwestern’s coverage of the 20th anniversary of a student hunger strike for the Asian American Studies Program at Northwestern University. @NUin1995 tweeted updates in “realtime”, contributing to a package on the strike and its impact.

For this audio story, I interviewed people of color about what it’s like to pass as white. I found that most people who pass as white have heard many different opinions on whether or not they look one way or another, so I wanted to make sure the personal experiences of those interviewed were heard before whoever was listening made a judgement on how they look. That was made possible by Alex Duner, who coded this project, and Hyunjee Lee, who was the photographer on this story. "Passing" went on to be a finalist for the Society of Professional Journalist's Mark of Excellence Awards in Best Use of Multimedia category.
